There are two 5x3 mm, pear cut, horizontally set, natural sapphires for a total of approximately .60 ctw. They are a gorgeous clear royal blue color! They are set in solid 10k yellow gold. The opening between the two sapphires is 4 mm so it is perfect for a 1 ct diamond but will also look good with about a 1/2 ct. I wouldn't go much above 1 ct though without a very tall mounting. (The photo is with a 1 ct) Please measure the bottom of your mounting, not the diamond, to determine if your solitaire will fit.
